To find your way to the Yellow Beach Picnic area, head east along Franklin Parade which becomes gravel - Pot Boil Road the Yellow Beach sign will be on your right.The beach is safe for swimming with calm shallow waters suited to snorkelling, swimming and kayaking.There are camping spots, a shaded free gas BBQ, shelter, picnic tables, water, toilets and a shower at Yellow Beach.Suitable for groups, the car park can accommodate about 20 vehicles and is a popular location for kids birthday parties and local get-togethers.The viewing platform is an ideal location to look over the islands of Franklin Sound including Big Green, Vansittart, Big Dog, Little Dog and Cape Barren or west towards Lady Barron Wharf. Or wander the Yellow Beach walk about 3.5 km return which takes you along the coast back towards the boat slip and fuel depot in Lady Barron.
