A peaceful shaded walk-through stands of native and European trees in a 14 acre tranquil setting by the river in Deloraine. Look closely, there are wild Platypus living in the river. Parking at the Train Park, this walk takes 1 hour and encompasses the Deloraine Riverbank Walk The Wild Wood is a nature reserve of 5.7 hectares (14 acres) that runs alongside the Meander River west of the Deloraine Apex Caravan Park. The reserve is part of a low river flood plain with old-growth native olive trees, swamp peppermints, deciduous beech, mature oaks and sycamore groves. Parking at the Train Park, this walk takes one hour and encompasses the Deloraine Riverbank Walk.
