The Derwent River 20
minutes north of Hobart, the vineyard has the perfect aspect for the production
of cool climate wine grapes. Made in our purpose built Straw Bale winery, which
is ecofriendly, these award winning wines include 5 different varietals from
10.75 hectares of calcareous soil. Rich in calcium, lime and loam, the vineyard
is herbicide free and transitioning towards organic practices. Cellar Door is a
heritage listed 1820 Limestone cottage, operating 11am until 4pm for tastings
and lunch, 7 days a week and providing one of the true unique Tasmanian Cellar
Door experiences.
